Psalm 33:13-15 The LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
This morning has been a little different for me. I usually awake with something on my heart that the Lord has been speaking to me about to share with those who follow my blogs. Today I just had a desire to sit and soak in His presence; to relax not being pressured to get a blog posted or to hear something new and fresh from the Lord to share with you. So I went to one of my favorite soaking prayer websites and enjoyed some nice, quiet background music and just rested for a few minutes in the Lord’s presence.
As I was reading His word and enjoying His presence I read this portion of Scripture in Psalm 33. I get in my mind a picture of how God looks down on all His creation, especially that one group that He so intimately formed in His own likeness and image; that of mankind. He sees all the sons of men. He looks down on us from His place in glory and works individually continuing the work that He so intimately fashioned as we began our lives. He understands our works, our day to day lifestyles. He is still very intimately involved in each of our lives.
Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
It may seem today as if God is not aware of what you may be going through or what your current status in life is, but God’s word is true. He is working in your life even when you can’t see any changes.
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
God does not lie and He does not change. What He has said He will do and that is something that we can bank on! If you are discouraged today, take heart, God is working! This, too, shall pass!
Obstacles in our pathway often try to detour us to take another route, but God will lead you in the way you should go. Do not fear what lies ahead, but trust in the One who has fashioned you and made you in His very own likeness and image. There is a way through the difficult times; there is a God who loves you and cares for you and will not give up on you. Trust Him to take you to the place that He has prepared for you. Give Him permission to live in you and through you. You are His pride and joy.
Isaiah 49:15-16 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”
Difficult times come to all of us, but there’s one thing we can be sure of: God has us carved on the palms of His hands. He cannot forget us; He will not turn away from His children, whom He loves and fashions. We are continually in His mind.
If you are experiencing a trial this morning of what seems to be of insurmountable magnitude, turn your eyes to the One who loves you, who fashioned your heart and is aware of your dilemma. He loves you and will show you the way out of the temptation that has come up before you.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
God has an open door for you out of the temptation that has tried to overtake you.
Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”
When God opens a door for you, you can be sure that you can walk through it without interference. Seek the Lord this morning for what He would have you do in the situations in your life that are causing you distress. Sit in His presence and soak up the love that He has for you as His child. And when you find that door that He has opened, walk through it without looking back for He is leading you into a new place in Him. He opens doors that no man can shut!
Father, I thank You for Your presence in my life. I thank You that I can come to You and just enjoy being in Your presence. Thank You for refreshing me through these special times of just resting in You and basking in Your love. Father, I pray for those today who might be anxious in heart and mind. I pray that they will take time to rest in You, to just relax and let go of the cares of this world that are trying to choke the life out of them. Father, I pray that as they seek Your face you will reveal to them the open doors that You have placed before them as the way of escape out of temptation. Father, You are God and there is no one that can shut the doors that You open for us. Thank You for securing our future in You. May You be glorified through the lives of Your children. Thank You, Father, for hearing and answering the petitions of my heart this morning. Amen.
