Our Light-Being

Hebrews 1 3

Hebrews 1:3 AMP He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high.

Jesus is the expression of God’s glory; He is the Light-being, the perfect imprint and very image of God and He upholds this world, all that is in it by the word of His power.

This scripture tells us that it is by the the word of Jesus that our universe is held together. Everything that is in our world would suddenly fly apart if He stopped speaking into it! He rules with the word of His power. Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which man can be saved, is the One who holds my life together. If He suddenly withdrew His hand from my life my world would fly apart. If He quit breathing into me the breath of life would leave me. He is the reason that I live and am able to walk about and do the things that I do. It is through His power within me through His very own Spirit that I am able to do the things that I do. I was created for His glory and honor!

Colossians 1:14-18 NKJV In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Jesus is the One through whom all things that are in heaven and that are on earth were created. There is so much going on in our world today that brings anxieties and fears upon those who walk upon this earth. And yet if we are born again believers in Christ Jesus we know and understand that God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, created all things for His glory. He spoke this world into existence and He holds it together by the mighty word of His power. When He speaks nations respond, kings are like water in His hand and can be turned at the very word that He gives them. We know that He is the One who controls all things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. Nothing that touches us is outside of His control. And everything was created through Him and for Him.

What a beautiful Savior who lived and died that we might have life. He is the firstborn of all those who were dead in sin, who have been delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed into the kingdom of God’s Son. He is the Light and Life of all creation. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! What a wonderful Savior is He!

John 1:3, 4 NKJV All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:10-13 NKJV He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Jesus came into this world which He created to show His creation, mankind, the love, mercy, grace and forgiveness of God, but His own did not receive Him. Instead they crucified Him, the King of glory, mocking Him and spitting on Him. The very One who loved them so much that He gave His life for them, rejected Him, turned Him away, and hung Him on a cruel cross between two common criminals. And yet He still loves us. He still longs to receive us into His family. Sometimes we forget that it is through Him, by Him and for Him that we were created. We were created to have a living and vital relationship with God, through Jesus Christ and in fellowship with His Spirit.

As many as received Him, He gave the right to become children of God. Have you received Jesus into your heart to be your own personal Lord and Savior? We were created to live in relationship with Him. He longs to have a personal fellowship with us where He can lead us and guide us through the life that we live here on earth and then continue on with us throughout eternity. But those who reject him will live forever eternally separated from the One who loves them and created them for Himself.

Romans 5:8, 9 NKJV But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

It doesn’t matter what you have done, Jesus died to save you from your sin. It doesn’t matter how guilty you are or what punishment you think you deserve for what you have done, through His blood you have been justified, meaning that when you receive Him into your heart you become just as if you had never sinned. Your sin is completely wiped away, removed as far as the east is from the west, never to be held against you.

God’s great gift of salvation is only offered through the gift of Jesus Christ. As you receive Him into your heart you become “born again”, not of flesh and blood but of the spirit.

Acts 4:12 NKJV “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which w must be saved.”

1 John 5:11-13 NKJV And this is the testimony that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

Romans 10:13 NKJV For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

If you died today do you know without a shadow of a doubt that you would be ushered into heaven to live eternally with Jesus? If not, won’t you call on the name of Jesus today and be saved from your sin? Won’t you invite Him into your life to save you and give you eternal life, an eternity spent in His presence, with God the Father in the family of God? It is by Him and through Him that all things exist and are held together. He loves you with an everlasting love and wants you to experience the abundant life that He died to give you.

Jesus, the Son of God, the Light-being, the exact representation of the Father waits for the ones that He died for to receive Him into their lives. He waits…..but how long do we have before the Father says to Jesus, “it’s time to go and gather my children together”? How long do we have before it’s time to be ushered into eternity? Won’t you receive Him before it is too late?

Father, I pray this morning that those who do not know Jesus will accept Him into their hearts today before it is too late. Father, I pray that You will call them to Yourself as they read of His great love for them and how He gave His very own life that they might live. Draw them by Your Spirit into relationship with You, Father. Impress upon their hearts that they need Jesus in their lives. I pray that today will be their day of salvation. Father, I ask You to not allow any of them to enter into eternity apart from You. Lord Jesus, save, heal, deliver and set people free from the bondage of sin. Deliver them from the evil one, Lord, and bring them into salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
